At Under The Surface Scuba, we believe that wellness is the key to a happy and healthy life. That's why we started our organization, to help people achieve their wellness goals in a way that works for them. We get to collaborate with many supporters to bring Scubapeutics® to everyone.
I'm a scuba diver!!
W.A.V.E. Program at Dovercourt Recreation Center
It has been an absolute pleasure to see the particpants from the WAVE program enjoy Scubapeutic® sessions with Under the Surface every month since 2023! Watching their eyes light up when they see me set up all the scuba gear is a reward in itself. Then seeing how far they've come in their independence to dive, it is truly inspiring!

I extend our gratitude for your generous $1600 donation!
This contribution was made to specifically honour and remember two founding members of your organization, Art McNeil and Brad Rahey, who during their lives not only contributed greatly to the success of The Baddeck Barnacles, but who were most influential in promoting scuba diving in the Bras D'Or Lakes region and protecting the unique biosphere environment it encompasses.
Thanks to your donation, Under the Surface will be able to sponsor Canadian Military Veterans and First Responders to participate in the Scubapeutics program; offering an environment of comradery while creating social connections with others, and providing an opportunity to explore new possibilities and build a sense of identity that can lead to personal growth and a healthy lifestyle.
Tania Silletta - Bloom Therapeutic Recreation & Fitness
Tania founded Bloom Therapeutic Recreation & Fitness in 2018 out of passion for inclusiveness in sports and recreation. She has been teaching seated yoga (chair yoga since 2018 with a variety of populations such as older adults, post-stroke patients, individuals with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and developmental disabilities. Tania has a Bachelor's degree with specialization in Therapeutic Recreation at Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec) in 2010, along with a variety of other sports and fitness certifications, is a military spouse and mom of three!
